Keep Social Media Social was born from the need to redefine the standards of good social media. And by “good” we mean ethical, kind and authentic.
Let us rewind.
In 2016, the whole country experienced an unprecedented rise of hate and division. Social media got ugly, friendships got broken, families got disjointed. People admitted dreading the holidays because of the conversations that could arise at the dinner table.
Something needed to change: we had to relearn how to communicate and be social again. And that’s what Amanda McLernon set out to do.
She started Keep Social Media Social (formerly McLernon & Co.) with the mission to spread her positive approach to social media all over the internet, and the planet.
Today, she is creating the future of social with a dream team of change makers, creators and strategists, who live for creating real connections with real people. Together, they are re-imagining how a social company can help change the world, by using their collective digital and IRL superpowers (and they’re pretty super, if we do say so ourselves — you can check out our work here.
The end goal: to serve a global, diverse, inclusive community that believes in the mission to Keep Social Media Social™ (and kind!) by creating a positive digital world for everyone.
